Attending the event were Tran Van Ly, Vice-Chairman
of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Dang Minh Hung,
Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee; leaders of sectors,
departments together with over 1,300 trade union officials in the
province.
The 2016 provincial Workers’ Month and Week is seen
as the peak campaign for activities taking care of workers’ spiritual
and material lives. This is also the chance for workers to express their
role accompanying enterprises in production and business. During the
event, the province will focus on making law dissemination among young
workers; taking care of their spiritual and material lives via practical
activities; setting up trade union locals, youth sub-unions at
enterprises…

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Hung praised young
workers for their contributions to the local socio-economic development
while asking for sectors, mass organizations and authorities at all
levels of the province to coordinate with enterprises to well organize
significant activities for young workers during provincial Workers’
Month and Week this year, contributing to improving their spiritual and
material lives. He also suggested young workers to actively work,
improve their workmanship, observe the law as well as well obeying
enterprises’ regulations, joining hands in building up a more and more
prosperous and beautiful Binh Duong.

On this occasion, the organizers presented 50 gifts
worth VND1mln each to laborers hit by workplace accidents or having
extremely difficult circumstances. The “Icare Benefits” program also
gave 50 gifts worth VND1mln each for these young workers.
