Further diversifying resources
Over the past time, Binh Duong
flexibly applied policies and took advantage of the support of the
Government, ministries and central sectors in order to boost
socialization in all aspects. This aimed at upholding resources from
economic sectors in infrastructure development and urban rejuvenation,
promoting the local socio-economic development as oriented.
The province’s total capital for
infrastructure investment in the 2011-2015 period was estimated at more
than VND98.6trillion or 37.3% of total capital for social development.
Nguyen Thanh Truc, Director of provincial Department of Planning and
Investment (DoPI) said that over the past time, the province bent on
diversifying resources and methods for infrastructure investment,
especially works to realize the local breakthrough programs, in which
traffic infrastructure received a top priority. Besides, the province
actively mobilized locals to get involved in carrying out rural traffic
works; paid more attention to urban development and planning; continued
expanding and effectively tapping industrial parks and compounds as
planned.
However, the province has still faced
some shortcomings in mobilizing all resources for the local development.
That’s reason why the province needs to continue mobilizing all
resources to build up a modern and synchronous socio-economic
infrastructure system in the 2016-2020 period, in which the local
traffic system with regional connection needs to be ensured.
According to Mai Hung Dung,
Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, the province needs to
concentrate on mobilizing resources for the local infrastructure
development from private enterprises while more effectively using the
central and local budget in this field.
Hi-quality services promoted
The proportion of service sector now
accounts for 40% of the province’s economic structure. Since 2015,
hi-quality services regarding banking-finance, export-import,
tourism…have loomed large across the province. The added services of the
sectors of post-telecommunications, healthcare, information technology
…have also been expanded, contributing to promoting the local industrial
and agricultural production.
The above result showed that the
province’s hi-quality services over the past time upheld their role as a
motivation for the local comprehensive development and the formation of
Binh Duong new city in the near future. But, the sector also
encountered plenty of obstacles for change.
According to Mr.Dung, Binh Duong is a
locality with different development from other localities. Hence, the
province’s program on developing hi-quality services needs to put focus
on industrial manufacture and service sectors. For export activities,
hi-quality services should be given priority to logistics, customs and
power, water fields…These fields have a high added value, making great
impacts on the local industrial development speed and improving the
local GDP value. All need to be invested concentratively in order to
promote the local hi-quality services.
