Attending the event were Dang Minh Hung, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, leaders of sectors, departments and representatives of enterprises honored.
With the goal of “All workers enjoy Tet”, provincial Party Committee and People’s Committee instructed the local sectors and authorities at all levels to organize activities taking care of workers during the 2016 Tet festival. On this occasion, the province spent nearly VND3.5bln on presenting 6,900 gifts to needy workers; supported 2,000 free Tet bus tickets for immigrant workers to return home for Tet…Many cultural-sports activities in celebration of the Lunar New Year 2016 for workers were also organized across the province.
Province-based enterprises also actively took care of workers’ lives via practical activities such as seriously implementing the adjustment of the region-based minimum wages under the Government’s Decree No.122/2015/ND-CP dated Nov.14, 2015; assuring wage and bonus payment as committed; joining hands with trade union locals to assist workers to return home for Tet; organizing year-end parties and presenting gifts to workers with a total value of around VND130.5billion.
With such practical deeds in taking care of laborers’ spiritual and material lives, 100 enterprises were awarded the certificates of merit of provincial People’s Committee. This aimed to encourage them to further join hands with the province in caring for laborers’ lives, contributing to well realizing the local social welfare.
