Achieving targets of the economic development
Industrial production was estimated to gain 58,493 billion VND, 11% up against last period. The industries recorded the considerable output such as textile and garment and paper. Many businesses faced challenges in product selling and goods in stock, having the innitial positive signs in late of the second quarter, 2012.
Textile and garment industry maintaining the stable development
The total retail and service was estimated to reach 33,083 billion VND, a rise of 23.5% against last period. Public economy sector increased 23.2%, 24.5% for private one and 8% for foreign one in comparison with last period of last year. Export turnover recorded the revenue of US$ 5.1 billion, a rise of 17.9% against the earlier period; import turnover to gain US$ 4.1billion.
Agriculture continued to stably develop; the value of agricultural production posted an increase of 4% above the level of last period, approximately 743.8 billion VND, in which 2.1% of crop production and 8.6% of livestock husbandry. Agriculture production models applying the high technology have been founded such as production of fruits, flowers and bonsai on an area of 430 hectares. In addition, 267 pig and poultry farms applied the modern technology.
In 6 first months of 2012, 780 new domestic enterprises and 201 added- capital ones were registered with the capital of about 3,407 billion VND and 2,178 billion VND respectively. Foreign investment was attracted US$ 2.8 billion from 51 new projects (US$1.4 billion) and 57 added- capital projects (US$ 664 million). 04 domestic projects were granted the Investment certificate with the capital of 4,033 billion VND.
Social affairs were well ensured
Paying a great attention to social welfare beneficiaries, people having merit of assisting the Revolution, underprivileged people: monthly pension, buying the health insurance cards, supporting the electrical charges for underprivileged household, loan with the preferential interest …
Health care for local people are gradually ameliorated and especially for elderly people and social welfare beneficiaries; actively prevent diseases by preparing actively the equipment and human resources
In the point of education and training, in the school year 2011- 2012, there are 440 schools, a rise of 23 schools compared to last year, 49% public schools are constructed modernly and 35.28% attained the national standards.
Abundant activities to celebrate holidays were successfully organized; implementing the civilized lifestyle, the permission for performance and strict sanctions of the cultural illegal act.
In the next 6 months, although the economy shows the sign of recovery, the challenges still influence directly the production, business and exportation as well as people’s life
Aiming to ensure the proposed targets, the provincial People’s Committee directed all branches and levels to implement homogeneously and seriously the Resolutions of provincial party Committee and People’s Council on tasks of socio- economic development in 2012; Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP dated January 03rd, 2012 of the Government on key solutions for directing the implementation the socio-economic development plan and State budget estimate in 2012 and Resolution No. 13/NQ-CP dated May 10th , 2012 on solutions to remove difficulties for production, business and market support.
