Attending the seminar, there were Mr Nguyen Dinh Tao - Head of Representative Office of Ministry of Information and Communication in HCM city, leaders of Binh Duong Department of Information and Communication, Mr Hoang Minh Cuong - Director of Vietnam Internet Network Information Centre; leaders of departments, branches, people’s committees of city, districts; enterprises in the province and enterprises registered national domain.
The seminar aim to height awareness of importance of .vn domain to activities of enterprises in the province; promote e-commerce development, apply information technology and strengthen state management by internet.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Duong Xuan Lai Thanh - Deputy Director of Binh Duong Department of Information and Communication said that “Though the recent rapid development of the Internet in Vietnam, domain registration was paid attention by enterprises because this was their internet marketing channel. However, most enterprises in Vietnam in general and Binh Duong province in particular have not realized the importance of domain name related to branding on the internet that led to more domain name disputes. It was hoped that the seminar would contribute to enhance awareness of protecting companies’ brands, develop and promote them on the internet, especially online brand protection with .vn domain.
At the seminar, Vietnam’s leading experts and enterprises introduced to participants about “The role of applying information technology and e-commerce in enterprises”, “The importance of domain name and website to the operations of enterprises” , “Advantage of .vn domain and international commerce”.
