BEGIC - On April 17, at the administration center hall, Mr Tran Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Province People’s Committee had a working session with representatives of Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Tran Bach Tu, chief of the Office, told that there are currently more than 3,000 Taiwanese enterprises are investing in Binh Duong Province however the local skilled workforce does not meet the demand of the enterprises. Hence some Taiwanese businesses have partnered with several universities in Taiwan to establish a vocational training school for local workers. Firstly, the goal aims to train Taiwan enterprises’ workforce, then expand to local workers. The school’s teachers are qualified and skilled labors who have more than 10 years working experience.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Liem acclaimed and appreciated the idea of the establishment of vocational school of Taiwanese enterprises. It is also one of the province's policies to raise the workers’ knowledge and skills. He suggested Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Ho Chi Minh City to discuss specific requirements and regulations on the school establishment with the provincial Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, then submit to the People’s Committee.
