The building of the strategy is relied on the analysis and assessment of the situation of traffic accidents in the province, provincial transport infrastructure, the growth of road traffic, especially socio-economic development plan by 2020. The aim is to decrease the number of traffic accidents and traffic congestion, toward a modern society of safety and civilized traffic; improve the knowledge and awareness of implementing road traffic law. By 2020, it is hoped that there will be 5% to 10% fall in the number of deaths per year by road traffic accidents; and 2030 will be 5% decrease.

 

    Speaking at the end of the meeting, Chairman Le Thanh Cung had a suggestion to consultants acquiring the contributions from units to regulate and complete the content of the strategy. Simultaneously, it is necessary to profoundly assess the situation of traffic accidents through the province; whereby, have appropriate orientation and target. Relying on socio-economic development plan, the plan of provincial departments, the plan of key economic regions, transportation system plan in order to find solutions to achieve targets and decrease the number of traffic accidents in the province.
