Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Tran Thanh Liem presented at the Meeting. Leaders of relevant departments, agencies, Binh Duong’s business associations and People’s Committee at district level also attended the event.

   

In the period of 2007-2012, although being affected by the financial crisis and global economic recession, Binh Duong province implemented coherently the policies of Party Communist of Vietnam and State on international integration; applied initiatively the central policies into the local situation in order to maximize effectively the benefits, potentialities, domestic and overseas resources pushing up the rapid and sustainable economic development and the large-scale international integration.

   

Provincial GDP attained 13.55% in average while the national GDP reached only 6.07%. Economic structure changes into the gradual acceleration of the service proportion. In comparison with the year of 2006, service, industry and agriculture sectors increased respectively 201.08%, 62.64% and 10.98%. The annual industrial production attained in average 24.48%, the FDI represents from 62.97% to 64.91%. Binh Duong province is always ranked in the high class in provincial concurrence index (PCI) compared to the 63 cities and provinces throughout the nation and is one of the cities and provinces belonging the best and good management groups.

Located in an area of 9,600 hectares, 28 industrial parks – clusters constructed the modern and homogeneous infrastructure and the provincial preferential policies of investment are recognized the reliable issues to foreign investors. From 2007 to 2012, the province attracted more 846 foreign investment projects, accounting totally for 2,117 FDI projects capitalizing more than US$ 17.3 billion and 13,386 enterprises were registered.

In response to the policy of socializing the training and education, businesses and individuals also have invested in this field. Currently, Binh Duong is the home of 08 universities, 07 colleges, 16 vocational schools, 13 vocational centers, 37 centers organizing vocational training courses and universities organizing the international training such as Eastern International University, Vietnamese - German University, Binh Duong University, Dong Nam technology – economy school… contributing to train the high quality human resources meeting the demands of the modern industrial development.

   

Administrative formalities are public, transparent and reduced such as for business registration, reduce 52/140 formalities, for investment: 36/40; the obstacles of business operations are removed gradually. Intensify the information technology application, open into public administrative formalities in the websites of the province, and departments, agencies aiming to shorten the time of procedures, customs clearance. Organize usually the dialogues between the provincial authorities, trade unions and labors in order to understand the aspiration as well as the difficulties of enterprises and labors and propose the appropriate solutions.

   

Focusing in develop and invest in the culture – society, natural resources and environment, science – technology fields; diversify and increase the quality of post and telecommunication services, stabilize the telecommunication infrastructure in order to meet the demands of the society and socio-economic development targets of the province.

   

In this occasion, 13 individuals are offered the certificate of merit for their excellent achievements in the international economic integration period 2007 – 2012.
