The Armed Force of Binh Duong province paid tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap

BEGIC - Morning Oct 12, the provincial military command organized the solemn funeral ceremony for General Vo Nguyen Giap who was a former Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Defence Minister and Commander in Chief of the Vietnam People’s Army, member of Parliament from first to seventh national assembly.
  
Attenting the ceremony, there were over 300 provincial officers.
 
In all sincerity, Armed Force of Binh Duong province had bowed in deep respect to the memory of great services of General Vo Nguyen Giap to the national revolution and the construction of Vietnam People’s Army, expressed their deep sorrow at the General’s passing - a preeminent military commander, the eldest brother of Vietnam People’s Amry.
   
  
  
  
  
    
Colonel Truong Binh Long - deputy political commissar of provincial Military Command, chief of the organizing board for General Giap’s funeral said that, implementing the documentaries of Party, State and Party committee of Military, provincial Military Command organized the funeral service, watched the memorial service which would be telecast direct for whole officers, soldiers of provincial Armed Force, veterans and people in the province. Vietnamese Party, State, Army and people all have mourned the passing of General Vo Nguyen Giap. He is the eldest brother, founder member and the one who educated, trained and brought prestige and power of Vietnam People’s Army. His passing is the great lose to servants, officers as well as Binh Duong Armed Force.
 
To express their sorrow to General Giap, not only Binh Duong Armed Force organized funeral services, burnt incense to commemorate, watched the memorial service and burial service for him on television but also provincial Party Committee, the Military command launched political activities in provincial Armed Forces to study of example, morality, dignity of General Giap, bring into play the traditions, maintain the confidence in victory that he has passed on the today’s generation. His heartfelt aspiration will be everlasting in Vietnamese Party, people and army.
 
The funeral ceremony will be lasted until Oct 13 according to state funeral for the purpose of not only officers, soldiers of provincial armed force to burn incense to commemorate but also officials, veterans and people in the province to pay tribute to General Giap.
