At the event, Chairman Le Thanh Cung informed the brief provincial socio- economic development to the President Tony Tan Keng Yam, his spouse and delegates.
Giving speech, President Tony Tan Keng Yam was impressed by Binh Duong achievement and Vietnam- Singapore Industrial park (VSIP) development over the past 16 years from 1996 to 2012. VSIP model shows the success in industrial sector of the cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore in general and between Singapore and Binh Duong in particular. He expressed his wish this relation will develop in diverse fields.
On behalf of Binh Duong authorities, Provincial Secretary Mai The Trung expressed the sincerest thanks to Singapore government in the previous time for the favorable conditions to Singaporean enterprises during their business in provinces and cities of Vietnam and particularly in Binh Duong province. He hoped that many projects between the two countries and between Singapore and Binh Duong province. Binh Duong will create favourable conditions of policies, area in favor to Singaporean entrepreneurs.
After the meeting, the delegation visited VSIP II and Binh Duong New City.

Besides, Singaporean President and his delegation were received by Former Vietnam President Nguyen Minh Triet had at Binh Duong New City.
