Known as “Hell on Earth” with savage tortures, Phu Loi Prison was built in 1957 by the regime of Ngo Dinh Nhiem and the U.S imperialism to detain Vietnamese revolutionary soldiers. It was notorious for the poisoning of hundreds of political prisoners on December 1, 1958. The event caused the outrage of global peace lovers and Vietnamese people.
With a great historical value and important political significance, Phu Loi Prison relic is developed into a place to educate about patriotic and revolutionary traditions for generations today. This is also an ideal destination for Youth Union members to organize extracurricular activities.
