The draft of Trade Union Law (amended) includes 06 chapters, and 36 articles (amended and supplemented 28 articles, kept 05 articles unchanged, added 04 new articles, and removed one article compared to the 2012 Trade Union Law). The draft includes regulating the rights of establishing, joining, and activities in the Trade Union of workers; the right to join the Viet Nam Trade Union of Workers' organizations at the enterprise; functions, tasks, rights, and responsibilities of the Trade Union; the rights and responsibilities of trade union members; responsibilities of the State, State agencies, organizations, units, businesses, and employers towards the Trade Union. Besides, it is necessary to ensure the activities of the Trade Union, resolve disputes, and handle violations of Trade Union laws.
Overview of the meeting
Giving opinions to the draft of Trade Union Law (amended), delegates focused on analyzing and evaluating contents such as Regulations on the organization of the Trade Union apparatus, management mechanism of Trade Union officials, and strengthening the role of the Viet Nam Trade Union. The organization of the Trade Union apparatus was regulated in the context of deep international integration and the birth of employee organizations at enterprises outside the Viet Nam Trade Union system. Besides, the regulations of Trade Union Law are to ensure that the Viet Nam Trade Union performs its functions and tasks well in the new context, etc.

Delegates said that it is necessary to supplement specific regulations for establishing a Trade Union. It needs to be regulated clearly to ensure Trade Union activities. The number of Binh Duong Provincial Trade Union officials is among the lowest in the Southeast, while the number of provincial union members is the highest in the country. Therefore, it is recommended to allow the Provincial Labor Union to sign labor contracts to meet operational requirements, etc.

Delivering a speech to conclude the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Xuan said that the delegates agreed that the contents of the draft of Trade Union Law (amended) are necessary and appropriate. Especially, many new points create more favorable conditions for Trade Union activities. The Conference received 09 comments from delegates, and the Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly will receive, compile, and submit to the 7th Session of the Fifteenth National Assembly to consider and complete the draft of the Law.
