At the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh – Chairman of the PPC informed the Delegation of some significant socio-economic highlights of Binh Duong Province. At the same time, he emphasized the strong relationship between Viet Nam and Laos. In 2006, Binh Duong Province and Champasak Province (Laos) signed a special friendship and comprehensive cooperation relationship. Since then, they have regularly sent delegations to visit and work together to strengthen cooperation relations in many fields. Significantly, Dau Tieng Viet Lao Rubber Joint Stock Company has implemented a project to plant and process rubber latex in Champasak Province and Salavan Province (Laos).
The two countries have implemented an agreement on cooperation in training and human resource development. Up to now, 93 Lao students have been granted training scholarships in Binh Duong. Besides, Binh Duong has organized many social charity activities, sent delegations of doctors, medical staff, and volunteers to examine, provide free medicine, and give gifts to the people of Champasak province.
The Chairman of the PCC hoped that the Laotian Embassy and Consulate General would continue to be a bridge to help Binh Duong and Lao localities strengthen cooperation, exchange information, share experiences, and help each other develop.
He believed that with her affection, close attachment to the country and people of Viet Nam, and leadership experience in the diplomatic sector, Mrs. Khamphao Ernthavanh would excellently complete her assigned tasks, making an important contribution to deepening and strengthening the special solidarity relationship between the two Parties, the two States and the people of Viet Nam and Laos in general, and between Binh Duong and Laos' localities as well.

On behalf of the Delegation, Mrs. Khamphao Ernthavanh - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the LPDR thanked the leaders of Binh Duong province for their warm welcome. She also highly appreciated the outstanding development of the province.
She thanked the provincial leaders for supporting Laos in training their workforce through granting scholarships for Lao students. At the same time, she hoped to strengthen economic cooperation between Lao localities and Binh Duong province in many fields to promote the potential and strengths of each locality.
Mrs. Khamphao Ernthavanh wished to receive support from Binh Duong provincial leaders during her tenure in Viet Nam. In her position, she stated that she was ready to act as a bridge for cooperation between Binh Duong and localities in Laos as well as between Viet Nam and Laos, cultivating a forever healthy and everlasting friendship and cooperation between the two sides.
