Attending the conference were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades in the Provincial Standing Party Committee, representatives of industrial parks (IPs), trade associations and many domestic and foreign enterprises.
Overview of the conference
The year 2023 takes place in the context of the economy suffering a "double impact" from unfavorable factors, many difficulties and challenges, but under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee (PPC), the coordination of branches and localities, and the efforts of the enterprise community, it has contributed to maintaining stability and developing IPs according to the set orientation. Production and business activities of enterprises in IPs are maintained, promoting advantages and achieving positive results. The set targets were all achieved over 70%. Of which, domestic investment attraction was 5,780 billion VND, reaching 482% of the plan; foreign investment attraction reached 1.22 billion USD, reaching 100% of the plan. The investor promotes investment in infrastructure construction and soon puts the IPs into operation; Security and order in IPs are stable, creating conditions for enterprises to feel secure in production.

According to the 2024 plan, the Provincial Industrial Zones Authority aims to attract about 130 - 140 investment projects into IPs, with a total foreign investment capital of about 1.2 - 1.3 billion USD; attract 1,100 - 1,200 billion VND of domestic investment capital; reach 5,700 billion VND of construction investment capital; lease and sublease 100 - 150 hectares of land; attract 15,000 workers; 35 - 40 billion USD of total revenue. Additionally, focusing on advising and promoting the establishment and development of about 10 new IPs in the 2023-2030 period, especially investing in infrastructure development of planned IPs in the province.

The conference also listened to reports from the provincial planning expert group on Planning orientation for Binh Duong province; Smart, ecological IPs; new directions for IPs in Binh Duong province; Science, technology and innovation development ecosystem: New development driving force for Binh Duong industry.
Discussing at the conference, representatives of IPs, trade associations and many enterprises also shared solutions for the province's socio-economic recovery and development in 2024.

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi praised the achievements of the Provincial Industrial Zones Authority in 2023, especially efforts to stabilize production in IPs; attract domestic and foreign investment capital with dynamic, key projects that have space for development and contribute greatly to the province's economic growth. At the same time, he thanked and acknowledged the contributions, sharing, and companionship of enterprises and investors to the development of Binh Duong over the past time.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi emphasized that Binh Duong is steadfast in its sustainable development strategy, continuing to promote adjusting the planning of IPs towards specialized, smart, ecological, synchronous and modern in the coming time.
In 2024, it is forecast that the situation will still have many difficulties and uncertainties, therefore, the Provincial Party Secretary requested the Provincial Industrial Zones Authority to develop a specific plan to implement the province's 2024 growth target; closely coordinate with localities, departments and branches to remove difficulties and obstacles and provide maximum support to investors and enterprises.
