​The Law on Environmental Protection 2014 and Resolution No. 02/2017/NQ-HDND dated July 20, 2017, on environmental protection spending tasks in Binh Duong province have specified the tasks of spending on environmental protection from environmental public funds for the provincial, district, and commune levels. However, at the moment, legal documents on the environment have been replaced by the 2020 Law on Environmental Protection and documents guiding the implementation of the Law. Therefore, it is necessary to promulgate regulations on environmental protection spending in the province to replace old regulations.

Overview of the meeting.

At the meeting, the Economy - Budget Board of the People's Council reported the examination result of the proposal to develop a Resolution stipulating the task of spending on environmental protection in the province. Accordingly, the Economy - Budget Board found that the Provincial People's Committee's submission of the proposal to develop a Resolution stipulating the task of spending on environmental protection in the province to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval is necessary and within its authority.

Through the opinions of the departments and branches, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Nguyen Van Loc basically agreed with the proposal to develop a Resolution stipulating the task of spending on environmental protection in the province of the Provincial People's Committee in the form of shortened order and procedures. He said that it would be put for comment at the upcoming meeting of the Provincial People's Council.
