Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing program: Support for bus, train, and plane tickets for workers to go home for Tet

PORTAL – On the afternoon of February 1, in Thuan An City, the Provincial Labor Confederation held the "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing" program.

The program was attended by Mr. Phan Van Anh – Vice President of the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Van Loi – Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao – Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Loc – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Taking place since 2015, the "Tet Reunion - Spring Sharing" program became a meaningful and practical activity. It is the beauty of the Trade Union Organization at the end of the year when they take care of the lives of the union members and workers, especially immigrant workers in difficult circumstances so that they can enjoy a happy Tet.

Giving a speech at the program, Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the results of activities caring for union members and provincial workers. Over the past 10 years, Binh Duong cared for 4,5 million union members and workers with the amount of 2,260 billion VND, of which the budget is over 150 billion VND. This was a great encouragement for members of the Trade Union to implement caring for the lives of workers.

 

Mr. Nguyen Van Loc – Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council gives a speech at the program.

Mr. Nguyen Van Loc said that on Lunar New Year 2024, the province and the Trade Union Organization at all levels held many practical activities to take care of the poor with the motto: "All union members and workers have Tet". The province supported 44,400 gifts, each worth 1 million from the budget to visit workers in difficult circumstances. On behalf of the provincial leaders, he acknowledged and praised the sectors, levels, agencies, units, and businesses, especially the Trade Union, for accompanying the provincial government in taking care of workers. He hoped workers would be more active in production, strive to overcome difficulties, work creatively, and continue to be the core force, playing an important role in the process of economic recovery and development. He hoped they would contribute to building Binh Duong to develop more rapidly and become a smart, modern, and friendly urban area. He wished all union members and workers a New Year with warmth and happiness.

At the program, the Provincial Labor Confederation gave bus, train, and plane tickets to workers to go to their hometowns on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024. The Confederation also gave gifts to workers in difficult circumstances and awarded 10 outstanding workers.

On this occasion, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper supported 20 scholarships for orphan students whose parents died due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
