The Spring Buses of Compassion for the Lunar New Year 2024 is a continuation of the support program to bring immigrant workers back to their hometowns to celebrate Tet. It was organized by the Provincial Labor Confederation in coordination with the VSIP Trade Union, to promote the role of Trade Unions at all levels in coordinating with businesses to take care of workers, organizing buses to take workers home to celebrate Tet and take them return to Binh Duong to work after Tet.

Accordingly, 778 workers from the Western, Central, Northern, and Central Highlands provinces were supported with free bus tickets to go home to celebrate Tet and then return to Binh Duong. They are from provinces such as An Giang, Bac Lieu, Can Tho, Ca Mau, Dong Thap, Soc Trang, Tra Vinh, Vinh Long, Phu Yen, Binh Dinh, Quang Nam, Quang Binh, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum.

At the Departure Ceremony, the Chairman of the PPC Vo Van Minh presented Tet gifts and lucky money to Union members and workers. He said that for many workers who have not been able to return home to celebrate Tet for many years, the tickets from the "Spring Buses of Compassion" would have a very valuable meaning, giving workers opportunities to celebrate the traditional Tet and witness the sacred New Year's Eve with their families and relatives. On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Vo Van Minh wished workers a safe trip and a joyful, happy, and healthy new year with their families. The Chairman of the PPC also hoped that, after Tet, workers would return to Binh Duong to actively work in production and join hands in building Binh Duong to become more civilized, rich, and beautiful.

* On the morning of the same day, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha - Vice Chairman of the PPC, Ms. Ong Thuy Hoang Mai - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Confederation of Labor, and leaders of Thuan An City presented 75 bus tickets to workers in extremely difficult circumstances so they could go home to celebrate Tet with their families. Each person also received a set of gifts worth 200,000 VND to support living and food expenses on the way back home. The total cost of the gift is more than 100 million VND.
