At the meeting, Mr. Vo Van Minh affirmed that despite the general difficulties in 2023, Binh Duong continues to maintain and have outstanding economic development, being the industrial capital of Viet Nam.Besides, with an open and attractive investment environment, Binh Duong is always one of the leading localities in the country in terms of attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). Especially in 2023, the province attracted 1 billion 543 million USD of FDI capital including 140 new projects, 55 capital adjustment projects, and 139 capital contribution and share purchase projects.
Among foreign investors, Taiwan currently ranks first out of 65 countries and territories that have investment projects in Binh Duong with 879 projects and a total capital of 6 billion 381 million USD, mainly in the fields of leather shoes, garments, fiber processing, textile dyeing, interior decoration furniture, etc.
The chairman of the PPC appreciated the role of the Taiwan Business Association in Binh Duong for its contribution to connecting Taiwan Businesses investing in the province, and its cooperation with the Government to solve difficulties and obstacles for existing Taiwan Businesses.
