The training course lasts for 4 months, from January 08, 2024, to May 08, 2024. Learners who are lecturers from universities will receive guidance and practical support from Sun Edu's experts. The highlight of the program is that learners can access and use the IC design software. This cooperation would help train quality human resources to meet the needs of future electronics and semiconductor IC industry development.
Previously, on December 26, 2023, Thu Dau Mot University and Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to exploit the strengths of the two parties, creating a foundation for training semiconductor IC engineers to serve the industrialization development of Binh Duong province and Viet Nam. Accordingly, the cooperation content aims to actualize the goal of forming 50,000 semiconductor engineers according to the Project of Developing High-quality Semiconductor Technology Human Resources in Viet Nam the period of 2024 – 2030, with a vision to 2045, developed by the National Innovation Center - Ministry of Planning and Investment under the direction of the Prime Minister.

At the opening ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Thi - Head of the Board of Management of Saigon Hi-tech Park gave a presentation on "Regional linking in high-tech industrial development". Accordingly, it emphasizes the role of developing the Southeast Region into a unified economic space based on the smart specialization strategy, linking the development of processing and manufacturing industries, especially platform industries, high technology, etc.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Loc Ha said that in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, along with comprehensive digital transformation, the semiconductor IC industry is one of the important foundation industries. To develop the semiconductor IC industry, Binh Duong has been actively preparing, focusing on infrastructure development, attracting investment, transferring science and technology, and training human resources, etc. In particular, developing highly qualified and specialized human resources is very important and needs to be implemented quickly and comprehensively.
He hoped that the lecturers participating in this course would become core, highly skilled core workforces to continue training and developing the province's human resources for semiconductor IC; and aim to promote the development of the semiconductor IC ecosystem and create new motivation and attraction to increase the high-tech investment in Binh Duong and the region.
"It is recommended that Thu Dau Mot University continue to research and deploy specialized training courses in other technology fields related to Industry 4.0. Provincial departments and branches need to support universities and colleges in implementing content to improve the quality of semiconductor IC human resource training, contributing to the goal of Binh Duong becoming a modern industrial center of the country by 2030", the vice Chairman of the PPC emphasized.
