Overview of the meeting

At the reception, Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Loc Ha said that Binh Duong is located in the Southern Key Economic Region, one of the leading provinces in the country in socio-economic development and attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). To date, the whole province has 4,200 FDI investment projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of more than 40 billion USD. Which Japan ranks second with 351 projects and a total investment capital of 5.92 billion USD.

Leaders of Binh Duong province through periods have had close cooperative relationships with enterprises and investors from Japan, including Tokyu Corporation and Becamex Tokyu is considered a model in the cooperative relationship of mutual development between Viet Nam and Japan. The development of Binh Duong New City has positive contributions from Tokyu Corporation.

Vice Chairman of the PPC further shared that in the coming time, Binh Duong continues to focus on investing in many major roads such as Ring Road No.3, Ring Road No.4, and Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway, which will have nearly 200 kilometers of expressway through Binh Duong, connecting airports, seaports, etc. At the same time, the province will form an industrial belt with a scale of over 20,000 hectares along highways, thereby creating new motivation and development space for the locality. Binh Duong also actively cooperates with foreign partners to build and implement the Binh Duong Smart City and Innovation Region Project, including the Binh Duong Science and Technology Industrial Park project with the vision of becoming an innovation center of the Southern Key Economic Region.

Mr. Horie Masahiro - Representative General Director of Tokyu Corporation expressed his impression of the development achievements of Binh Duong province and said that in the coming time, Tokyu Corporation will continue to invest in housing and urban development in Binh Duong New City. Along with that, the Corporation also expanded into other fields such as service trade, building leasing, urban development associated with TOD public transportation, etc. He was very excited to listen to information about the province's infrastructure and transportation development and said that this is a very important factor for the development of housing and urban projects. Mr. Horie Masahiro affirmed that Tokyu Corporation's leaders attach great importance to the relationship with Binh Duong province and hoped that cooperation between the two sides will develop further and deeper in many fields.
