At the reception, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Loi happily shared that in 2023, Viet Nam and Japan have had many meaningful activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations. Japan is Viet Nam's most important economic partner, the largest ODA donor, the No. 2 investor, the 3rd tourism partner and the 4th largest trade partner of Viet Nam.
In Binh Duong, Japan is also one of the leading partners, ranking 2nd among 65 countries and territories with investment projects in the province, with 351 projects and a total registered investment capital of more than 5.9 billion USD, accounting for 14.7% of total foreign investment capital in the province.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that over the past years, Japan has played a pioneering role in supporting ODA capital for Binh Duong to invest in development in various fields, especially transportation and urban projects.
Overview of the meeting
Currently, Binh Duong continues to focus on starting many major roads such as Ring Road No. 3, Ring Road No. 4 and Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway, there will be nearly 200 kilometers of expressway through Binh Duong, connecting airports, seaports, etc. At the same time, the province will form an industrial belt, with a scale of over 20,000 hectares along highways, thereby creating new motivation and development space for the locality. The province is also promoting digital transformation and building a new ecosystem to promote development following the trend of the 4.0 scientific and technological revolution; enhance green development, use green energy and renewable energy for sustainable development and environmental protection.
The Provincial Party Secretary hoped that Japanese partners in general and JBIC in particular will continue to pay attention and support capital and experience for Binh Duong to invest and build infrastructure in accordance with development trends.

Mr. Hayashi Nobumitsu said, JBIC is a policy financial institution under the Japanese Government, and is also the Japanese export credit agency (ECA). JBIC contributes to the healthy development of Japan as well as the international economy and society. In Viet Nam, JBIC's financial cooperation and policy development support activities have been implemented effectively, to date, JBIC has sponsored more than 840 billion yen for more than 310 projects, thereby encouraging and promoting Japanese foreign investment in Viet Nam, and directly supporting many important, large-scale infrastructure projects with the participation of Japanese investors and exporters in the fields of electric energy, oil and gas. In addition to JBIC's efforts and contributions in supporting the development of Viet Nam's important infrastructure, JBIC is currently strongly supporting Viet Nam in responding to climate change.
