At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Van Danh introduced an overview of the socio-economic development situation and investment attraction of Binh Duong province.
Accumulated as of September 15, 2023, the whole province has 4,166 investment projects from 65 countries and territories with a total registered capital of more than 40 billion USD. The leader is Taiwan (China) with 872 projects and a total investment capital of more than 6.3 billion USD.
Binh Duong currently ranks 2nd in the country in attracting foreign investment capital after Ho Chi Minh City. The province's gross product (GRDP) always achieves a fairly high growth rate compared to the average growth rate of the country. The province's economic structure has shifted positively towards gradually increasing the proportion of services and industry.
Overview of the meeting
To achieve that result, over the past time, Binh Duong has always strived and continuously improved the investment environment and enhanced competitiveness. In particular, the province promotes investment in developing regional transport infrastructure to connect trade with provinces and cities in the region. In order to attract investment and develop Binh Duong into a smart, modern urban area, towards green and sustainable growth, Binh Duong has focused on implementing many solutions, notably implementing the science and technology industrial park project, with the vision of becoming an Innovation Center of the Southern Key Economic Region. Currently, Binh Duong is implementing and managing 38 technology application topics and projects; supporting more than 60 enterprises to transform to 4.0 and enterprises setting up science and technology funds to improve production lines. At the same time, Binh Duong also pays attention and focuses on attracting investment in high-tech, advanced, and environmentally friendly industries and fields.
Mr. Chen Po Yen highly appreciated the outstanding development of Binh Duong province today. He also expressed his desire to cooperate and invest in Binh Duong in the field of science and technology, especially information technology such as: Network security, smart AIOT surveillance camera solutions, ticket booking authentication and BRT system payment, etc.
Vice Chairman of the PPC Nguyen Van Danh welcomed and said that the province is ready to create favorable conditions for MiTAC as well as Taiwanese investors and enterprises to invest in Binh Duong.
