The 2023 World Three-Cushion Championship takes place from September 06 to 10, 2023, in Ankara, Turkey. The final match took place between two Viet Namese athletes, Bao Phuong Vinh and Tran Quyet Chien, under the guidance of Coach Nguyen Viet Hoa, with the victory belonging to Bao Phuong Vinh (first time participating in the world's largest tournament in three-cushion content).
The World Championship achievement of athlete Bao Phuong Vinh clearly demonstrates the proper, reasonable and methodical attention and investment of the provincial leaders and the Culture, Sports and Tourism branch over the past time. Previously, on September 28, Bao Phuong Vinh was honored at the "Young Talent of Binh Duong Province 2023" award organized by the Provincial Youth Union and Binh Duong Young Entrepreneurs' Association. It is known that the province will soon award a Certificate of Merit and prize amount to World Champion Bao Phuong Vinh.

Tran Quyet Chien alone has been crowned champion twice at World Cup tours in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam (2018) and Porto, Portugal (2023). Although he could not complete the World Championship title in Ankara, Turkey this time, what Tran Quyet Chien showed at the tournament showed that he is a player with stable performance and deserves to be in the TOP position of the (UMB) World Ranking.

With the current achievements of Viet Nam Carom Billiards in the world arena, it will certainly be a push to further develop this sport on a large scale throughout the country. In 2024, Viet Nam will be the destination of two world three-cushion carom tournaments, of which in May 2024 there will be a World Cup tour taking place in Ho Chi Minh City and September 2024 will be the first time the World Three-Cushion Championship comes to Viet Namese fans.
