According to the consulting unit's report, the project to build a railway line from Bau Bang station to An Binh station will pass through Bau Bang district, Ben Cat town, Tan Uyen City, Thuan An, Di An with a length of 52.2 kilometers including 6 stations: An Binh, Binh Chuan, Binh Duong, Chanh Luu, Tan Hung, Bau Bang and 04 passenger stations: Tan Binh, An Phu, Tan Vinh Hiep, Hoa Loi). The total project investment is expected to be about 50,000 billion VND, of which the cost of site clearance is about 12,000 billion VND, and the construction cost is about 23,000 billion VND. Construction is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2027 and be completed in 2030.
Railway project from Bau Bang station to An Binh station
Currently, the province is studying the selection of a pre-feasibility study consultant for the project.
The Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road No. 4 through Binh Duong province has its starting point at the current Thu Bien bridgehead to the side of Binh Duong province in Thuong Tan commune, Bac Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province; the road end point is in front of Phu Thuan bridge abutment in An Tay commune, Ben Cat town. Total length is about 47.85 kilometers; design speed is 100 kilometers per hour; Grade I traffic works. The preliminary total investment of the project is about 18,247.9 billion VND.
It is expected that the project implementation period is from 2023 to 2026; land use demand is about 419.6 hectares, of which the main route is 413.4 hectares and the connecting route is 6.2 hectares; type of PPP project contract: Build - Operate - Transfer (BOT).
Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway will pass through An Phu intersection, belonging to Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road No. 3, section through Binh Duong province
The Ho Chi Minh City-Chon Thanh Expressway Project from Ring Road No. 3 to Binh Phuoc Province has a length of about 60.4 kilometers; in which the section from Ring Road No. 3 to Binh Duong-Binh Phuoc province is about 53.3 kilometers long, the section through Binh Phuoc province is 7.1 kilometers long. The project with a section through Binh Duong province is invested in 2 phases. Phase 1 from Ring Road No. 3 to Khanh Van bridge, Khanh Binh ward, Tan Uyen city, with a length of about 7.7 kilometers, is maintained in its original condition invested in DT.743 and DT.747B projects with a total width of the roadbed from 36 meters-38 meters (keeping the planning with a road width of 60 meters).
The section from Khanh Van bridge to Binh Duong-Binh Phuoc province border with a length of about 45.6 kilometers is cleared according to the planning scale (60 meters wide) and invested in 4 full expressway lanes (with emergency stop lanes throughout the route); There is investment in a frontage road of about 9.15 kilometers intermittently.
The implementation method of the section through Binh Duong province (phase 1): expected to follow the PPP method (BOT contract: Build - Operate - Transfer). Preliminary total estimated investment in the section through Binh Duong province (phase 1): 16,196 billion VND; in which, site clearance is 7,388 billion VND; construction and installation is 8,808 billion VND.
Investment capital for the section through Binh Duong province (phase 1): state budget capital (Central and local), PPP investor capital and other capital.
It is expected that the project implementation and investment completion time will be completed before 2030.
The PPC has issued Official Dispatch No. 3775/UBND-KT dated July 27, 2023 to the Ministry of Planning and Investment to report on the proposal of an investment project to build the Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh expressway, applying mechanisms and policies to remove obstacles specified in a number of related laws. According to Resolution No. 08/NQ-HDND dated May 19, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council, the project completion time is expected to be before 2030. Striving to implement the project from 2023-2027, put into operation by the end of 2027.
Through the opinions of the units, the PPC Chairman Vo Van Minh basically agreed with the recommendations, the proposed plan of the investor and consultant to accelerate the implementation schedule of the projects. At the same time, it is recommended that 02 units study more closely the procedures to speed up the preparation of the pre-feasibility study report for the railway project from Bau Bang station to An Binh station.
