​According to the report, in the first 6 months of 2023, the Tax Department estimated budget revenue of 23,850 billion VND, reaching 53% of the year estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance, equaling 101% over the same period. In which, estimated revenue for the first 6 months of the year for foreign-invested enterprises is 7,027.5 billion VND, reaching 51% of the year estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance and equaling 104% over the same period. This revenue is quite good compared to the same period last year because the policy stipulates to pay 80% of the arising amount to be paid in 3 quarters in the year due on January 31, 2023, leading to an increase in corporate income tax in the first quarter of 2023.

It is estimated that by June 30, 2023, the whole tax branch has carried out 1,257 inspections and checks, reaching 45% of the plan in 2023 and equaling 101% compared to the same period in 2022; checked 3,496 tax declaration dossiers at the tax authorities, equaling 44.9% compared to the same period in 2022.

Overview of the meeting

The total amount proposed to be handled through inspection and check is 198 billion VND, equal to 93.4% compared to the same period in 2022. The total amount of tax paid to the state budget is 59 billion VND, equal to 46.9% of the increase in revenue through inspection and check.

In the context of the complicated economic situation in the world, export activities of enterprises doing business in a number of garment and electronic industries tend to decrease, besides, the Government's policies to support difficulties for taxpayers have affected the budget revenue in the province. In order to ensure the mobilization of revenue for the State budget, the Tax Department of Binh Duong province will deploy various solutions such as preventing loss of revenue in the fields of real estate business, e-commerce, food, and beverage business, strengthening the inspection, check, and urging debt collection. The Tax Department is expected to complete the State budget revenue estimate in 2023 assigned by the Ministry of Finance and the estimate approved by the Provincial People's Council.
