Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee meets to remove difficulties for enterprises

​PORTAL - On June 16, at the Administration Center of Binh Duong province, Mr. Vo Van Minh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) chaired the 5th Meeting of the Steering Committee to solve difficulties and problems for enterprises in the province.​

​At the meeting, some common difficulties and problems of enterprises in the process of production and business activities in the province are reported. The global economic situation is still unstable due to prolonged political conflicts, rising inflation, narrowing the market, and scarcity of orders, causing many enterprises in textile, garment, footwear, wood, etc. to face difficulties and disrupt the supply chain.

Enterprises face difficulty to approach loans; unsecured loans are based on the business plan and project of the enterprise while the enterprise does not have a good business plan due to lack of export orders. Many businesses encountered difficulties when implementing new regulations on fire prevention and fighting such as area, construction of emergency stairs, construction materials and fireproof paint. Particularly in the petroleum sector, there are 44 stores that do not meet the conditions for fire prevention and fighting.

The application for work permits for foreigners, re-certifying of foreign workers' work experience according to the provisions of Clause 4, Article 9, Decree No. 152/2020/ND-CP of the Government on regulations on Foreign workers working in Viet Nam, etc. are also difficult for some enterprises.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Toan - Director of the Department of Industry and Trade reports on the situation of solving problems of enterprises

The PPC directed departments, committees and branches to promptly implement central and provincial policies on supporting enterprises to restore production; capture and receive information to solve problems of enterprises. The Department of Industry and Trade chairs and coordinates with the Department of Planning and Investment, and the Department of Foreign Affairs to advise and organize dialogues with enterprises, trade associations, and organize trade promotion to support enterprises in connecting the market.

The State Bank provincial branch directs credit institutions to expand and diversify products and services, implement interest rate support policies, and simplify lending procedures. The Department of Construction and the Provincial Public Security support and guide enterprises in implementing regulations on fire prevention and fighting; collect pending matters to advise the PPC to propose competent agencies to study and amend regulations. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs advises the PPC to propose the Government to create conditions for licensing foreign experts to work in Viet Nam.

Mr. Truong Van Phong - Deputy Head of Binh Duong Industrial Zones Authority reports on solving problems of investment projects in industrial parks

At the meeting, the PPC Chairman Vo Van Minh specifically directed to remove obstacles for the project of Rita Vo Company; the extension of implementation time of a number of projects in Dong An 2 Industrial Park; policy of investing in schools in Viet Huong Industrial Park; the implementation of a number of real estate projects, residential areas in the province, etc. The PPC Chairman asked the departments, branches and localities to improve the sense of responsibility and closely coordinate to solve problems to facilitate production and business activities of enterprises.

As reported by the PPC, as of May 31, 2023, Binh Duong has added 27,678 billion VND of domestic business registration capital, including 2,564 newly registered enterprises (total charter capital of 15,442 billion VND) and 713 enterprises adjusted to increase by 15,064 billion VND. Accumulated to May 31, 2023, the province has 62,075 domestic enterprises with a total registered capital of 658,267 billion VND. Regarding foreign investment attraction, the province registered 19 newly established FDI enterprises with a registered capital of 776.5 billion VND; 80 enterprises registered to increase capital with an additional capital of 6,976 billion VND. Accumulated to May 31, 2023, procedures for granting and changing business registration contents on investment certificates and business registration certificates for 3,030 FDI enterprises with a registered capital of 326,259 billion VND have been carried out.
