Speaking at the seminar, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Loi said that Binh Duong province is located in the Southern Key Economic Region - a dynamic, fast-growing and strongest economic region of the country - with a favorable geographical position adjacent to Ho Chi Minh City, near the international airport and seaport. Over the past time, the province has actively invested in developing modern and synchronous technical infrastructure. During this time, Binh Duong continues to focus on starting many major roads such as Ring Road No. 3, Ring Road No. 4 and Ho Chi Minh City - Chon Thanh Expressway; there will be nearly 200 km of highways through Binh Duong, connecting to airports, seaports, etc. Simultaneously, the province will form an industrial belt, with a scale of over 20,000 hectares along highways, thereby creating new driving force and development space for the locality.

The provincial government is always interested in supporting the development of investment enterprises in the province by improving the investment environment, enhancing competitiveness, applying science and technology to simplify administrative procedures, deploying human resource training, building social housing, housing for workers, providing labor resources for enterprises to invest in the province.
In 2022, the province's socio-economic situation continues to prosper and achieve many positive and comprehensive results in all fields, the Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to increase by 8.01% over the same period in 2021. Currently, Binh Duong province has built and developed 29 industrial parks with a total area of nearly 12,700 hectares.
Up to now, Binh Duong province has attracted more than 4,100 FDI projects with a total registered capital of nearly 40 billion USD from 65 countries and territories around the world; in which Japan ranks the second with 344 projects, total capital of 5.9 billion USD.

Besides promoting socio-economic development, Binh Duong also actively expands bilateral and multilateral cooperation. Up to now, Binh Duong province has established bilateral cooperation relationships with 11 foreign provinces and cities, including Yamaguchi prefecture.
Binh Duong is now an official member and a reliable partner of 03 international organizations, especially Binh Duong province has been honored by the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) as one of 21 cities with the world's typical smart city development strategy for 5 consecutive years 2019-2023 and as one of 07 communities with a typical Smart Development Strategy in the world for three consecutive years 2021, 2022 and 2023 (TOP7 ICF). Paying attention to smart city development, the province is promoting digital transformation to build a digital government, a digital economy, a digital society, and a new ecosystem to promote development in the direction of the 4.0 Revolution on science and technology.
Coming to this investment attraction seminar, Binh Duong called on Japanese enterprises and investors to learn about areas such as high-tech industries, supporting industries, information technology, high-tech agriculture, using renewable energy, being environmentally friendly as well as investing in development of trade, services, construction investment, infrastructure development and human resource development, etc.

At the seminar, the representative of Becamex IDC Corp introduced the investment environment of Binh Duong and the projects being developed by Becamex IDC to meet the investment needs of enterprises. Especially the orientation to build Binh Duong Smart City in the coming time; as well as the construction progress of the Science and Technology Industrial Park and the World Trade Center Binh Duong New City. At the same time, he shared about the construction of transport infrastructure connecting the region, the Logictics system, training of high-quality labor force and investment incentive policies of Viet Nam.
