Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Deputy Director of Binh Duong Customs Department said that in order to continue to meet the requirements of promoting reform, development and modernization of the Customs branch and creating a connection between Customs - enterprises in compliance with regulations, policies and laws of Customs, as well as exchange and remove obstacles of Taiwanese enterprises investing in Binh Duong, facilitating import and export activities in the province, currently, Binh Duong Customs Department is carrying out procedures for over 500 Taiwanese enterprises. In the past time, most of the Taiwanese enterprises investing in the area have well complied with the provisions of the law and have cooperated well with the Customs in the process of carrying out import and export procedures, making many important contributions to the completion of the tasks of the Binh Duong Customs Department, many enterprises are increasingly developing and expanding investment projects, making positive contributions to the local economic development.

The conference aims to help Taiwanese investors better understand new policies and laws related to import and export activities, and at the same time listen to the opinions and recommendations of enterprises about the service attitude of Customs officers and employees in carrying out customs procedures, supporting and creating favorable conditions for import and export activities of enterprises in the locality in the context of a serious decline in world export and import markets, continuing to build and develop an increasingly sustainable Customs-enterprise cooperation relationship in the coming time.

At the conference, representatives of specialized divisions of Binh Duong Customs Department disseminated new regulations and policies related to Customs procedures, Customs inspection and supervision; import and export tax; post-customs clearance inspection; warn of violations detected through post-clearance inspection, etc. Accordingly, organizations and individuals importing goods into Vietnam must label their goods according to the provisions of Article 9, Decree No. 43/2017/ND-CP and Clause 4, Article 1 of Decree No. 111/2021/ND-CP, Commercial Law 2005; Law on Product Quality; Law on Protection of Consumer Rights. Violating enterprises will be fined up to 120 million VND and apply remedial measures according to the provisions of Decree No. 128/2020/ND-CP, etc.
