As planned, the Announcement Ceremony is expected to be held on April 12, 2023 at Tan Uyen Town Square (Quarter 1, Uyen Hung Ward), with about 500 participants including leaders of the Central Government, Binh Duong province, districts, towns, cities in the province and some neighboring localities.

The content of the ceremony includes cultural programs; screening of documentary films about the process of building and developing Tan Uyen city; speech of the leaders of the Central Committee, Binh Duong province, representatives of the young generation and a response from the leader of Tan Uyen.

The announcement ceremony is a political event, an important turning point marking the results of efforts in leadership, direction, positive contributions and consensus of people from all walks of life join hands to build the town into a young, beautiful, civilized, and loving city. At the same time, contributing to propagating, promoting and introducing the potentials, advantages, traditional cultural values, socio-economic development achievements, construction and development of Tan Uyen urban area in recent years, continuing to arouse patriotism and creativity, the participation of people from all walks of life, and attracting all resources for the development of the city.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Mai Hung Dung asked the Party Committee and People's Committee of Tan Uyen town to carefully and effectively prepare the assigned tasks, ensuring the ceremony to be held successfully. In particular, it is necessary to focus on perfecting the overall program, collecting comments from the Propaganda and Training Commission, the Department of Information and Communications on the content of the documentary. In addition, directing wards and communes to ensure environmental sanitation, urban embellishment to create a bright, green, clean and beautiful landscape, especially at the welcome gate area. Ensuring security and order, traffic safety, food safety and hygiene, pandemic prevention and control, electricity supply and electrical safety, fire prevention and fighting at the ceremony. Resolution No. 725/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of Tan Uyen city in Binh Duong province takes effect from April 10, 2023.

Accordingly, Tan Uyen city is established on the basis of the entire 191.76 km2 of natural area and population size of 466,053 people of Tan Uyen town in Binh Duong province.

Tan Uyen city borders the cities of Di An, Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Ben Cat town, Bac Tan Uyen district of Binh Duong province and Vinh Cuu district of Dong Nai province.

After its establishment, Tan Uyen city has 12 commune-level administrative units, including 10 wards: Hoi Nghia, Khanh Binh, Phu Chanh, Tan Hiep, Tan Phuoc Khanh, Tan Vinh Hiep, Thai Hoa, Thanh Phuoc, Uyen Hung, and Vinh Tan and 02 communes: Bach Dang and Thanh Hoi.

Thus, Binh Duong province has 09 district-level administrative units, including 04 districts, 01 town and 04 cities; 91 commune-level administrative units, including 41 communes, 45 wards and 05 towns.
