Overview of the meeting
The expressway starts at Go Dua intersection, goes along provincial road 43 (in Thu Duc city) about 800m, then turns right along DT.743B; DT.743A; DT.747B comes in front of Khanh Van bridge, then turns left to separate from the current road and follow Suoi Cai and parallel to DH409. The route cuts DT.747A at Green Gate, goes parallel to DT.741 to An Long commune, Phu Giao district and then goes straight to the North, bordering the East of Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Park, intersecting National Highway 14 at Chon Thanh.
Binh Duong province proposed Binh Phuoc province to agree on the investment plan. Specifically, phase 1, the section from Khanh Van bridge to Binh Phuoc province is 45.6km long with a total investment of about 17,300 billion VND, invested in the PPP form. The construction is expected to be completed in 2026. Phase 2, upgrading from 4 lanes to 6 lanes, implementing a number of technical solutions such as building overpasses, underpasses and branch roads.

For the main traffic connection points between Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc provinces, including: Ho Chi Minh road; National Highway 13; National Highway 13C; Bac Tan Uyen-Phu Giao-Bau Bang road, etc. the two provinces continue to coordinate in implementation. For the western route of National Highway 13, Binh Duong proposes to unify the planning scale in each province, in order to reserve land for future development of transport infrastructure.

Speaking at the meeting, Ms. Tran Tue Hien - Chairman of Binh Phuoc PPC said that Binh Phuoc received the proposal of Binh Duong province, through which the PPC will report to the Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Council to consider allocating capital sources of the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway section passing through Binh Phuoc province with a length of 7km, which will be invested by Binh Phuoc province in the form of public investment, with a total capital clearance, compensation and construction about 1,500 billion VND.

Chairman of Binh Duong PPC Vo Van Minh emphasized that the Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway and the main traffic connection points between the two provinces of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc are the key routes not only of Binh Duong, but also connecting the key economic regions in the South, opening up new development space for the whole region. Through the meeting, the two PPCs agreed to assign two Departments of Transport and districts to survey, calculate route alignment and specific connection plans for provincial roads and bordering district roads of the two provinces to submit to the two PPCs for consideration and settlement in the near future.
