Opening the conference, the PPC informed the socio-economic situation of Binh Duong province in 2022. Accordingly, in 2022, the province continued to achieve many positive results, political security, social order and safety were maintained stably, the results achieved and exceeded 29/34 targets of the plan in 2022. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) increased by 8.01% (in 2021, by 3.2%); GRDP per capita was 166 million VND; the economic structure of industry - service - agriculture - product tax minus product subsidies with the corresponding proportion was 67.1% - 22.8% - 2.7% - 7.4%. The province ranked second in the country in terms of attracting foreign investment capital with more than 4,000 projects, with a total registered capital of nearly 40 billion USD, including some large corporations such as Tokyu Corporation (Japan), Procter & Gamble (USA), Kumho, etc. most recently LEGO Group (Denmark) invested a 1 billion USD factory in Vietnam - Singapore III Industrial Park. In 2022, the Index of Industrial Production (IIP) was estimated to increase by 8.9% over the previous year (in 2021, by 4.5%). Export turnover reached 35.7 billion USD, up 9% compared to 2021; import turnover reached 25.8 billion USD, up 1%; trade surplus reached nearly 10 billion USD, mainly exporting woodworking products, leather and footwear, textiles, etc.
In the coming time, the province will continue to restructure the provincial industrial network, upgrade existing industrial parks into smart industrial parks, focus more on modernizing existing industries, developing supporting industries to increase the localization rate and innovating the industry - focusing on attracting 6 future industries (S-curve), creating conditions to promote the resources of the whole society to participate in the development process. Continuing to build a regional transport system by investing in the development of transport infrastructure with key projects such as: Ring Road No.3, Ring Road No.4, National Highway 56B, DT.745B (Tay Ninh - Binh Duong - Binh Phuoc), Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh expressway, My Phuoc - Tan Van road, National Highway No.13, etc.
The province also selects and prioritizes investors with vision, quality, efficiency, strong application of high technology in production and business in association with environmental protection to create a harmony between socio-economic development and green growth, contributing to the construction of Binh Duong Smart City reaching the international level. In order to ensure the sustainability and feasibility in the socio-economic development planning, the province is relocating and resetting production enterprises into planned areas to expand development space, establish an ecosystem of interconnected zones and clusters, avoid concentrated urban areas and reduce the risk of environmental pollution. In particular, focusing on relocating production facilities in the Southern region around urban areas to the Northern region. Completing this project has great significance in the socio-economic development of the province, helping to rearrange the new development space, overcome limitations, and exploit the land potential in the Northern districts. From there, the relocation will be able to create the next revolution of Binh Duong when the Northern region really transforms into a new industrial-scientific-technological center and the South region becomes the center of high-quality urban areas.

It is expected that in 2023, Southern Power Corporation will implement 11 110KV substation projects in the province.
