At the meeting, Permanent Vice Chairman of the PPC Mai Hung Dung briefly informed about Binh Duong's socio-economic development achievements.
He said, in addition to focusing on investing in technical infrastructure, building and developing a modern and synchronous transport system to serve the goals of socio-economic development, Binh Duong province also actively invest in the development of health, education and human resource development.
The province has 108 vocational education institutions that fully meet the learning needs of the people and the needs of enterprises for using human resources. In particular, Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is the first university in the project of building a new model university, established on the basis of cooperation between the two countries Vietnam and Germany, training high-quality human resources to meet development trends and enterprise requirements.
Binh Duong currently has 29 industrial parks with an area of 12,798 hectares and 12 industrial clusters with an area of 815 hectares. All industrial parks of the province are invested with synchronous and modern technical infrastructure, which is convenient for investment attraction.
With an open and attractive investment environment, over the years, Binh Duong has always been a bright spot in terms of attracting investment of the whole country. Accumulated to January 31, 2023, the province has 4,088 investment projects from 65 countries and territories, with a total registered capital of more than 39.7 billion USD. As of January 2023, the province has 18 investment projects of German enterprises with a total investment capital of more than 50 million USD, mainly operating in the fields of mechanics, electronics, pharmaceuticals, etc.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the PPC Mai Hung Dung emphasized that Binh Duong is aiming for green and sustainable development, thus giving priority to attracting investment in high-tech and environmentally friendly industries and fields. Provincial leaders hope that in the coming time, there will be many potential German enterprises in line with the province's development criteria and orientation to explore investment opportunities in Binh Duong. At the same time, Heidelberg City, the Federal Republic of Germany and Binh Duong Province will have new and concrete cooperation steps to develop the education and health fields to achieve more achievements.
