At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao reported to the delegation the socio-economic situation, national defense - security, Party building, and political system building in the province in 2022. Accordingly, in 2022, Binh Duong has achieved the set goals and targets. The economy continued to recover after the pandemic, developed stably and had a positive growth rate, reaching 8.01%; per capita income reached 166 million VND; continuing to attract more than 7 billion USD of domestic and foreign investment capital; it is estimated that by January 30, 2023, public investment disbursement will reach 85% of the plan assigned by the Provincial People's Council. Social security was guaranteed, people's quality of life was gradually improved and enhanced. National defense and security continued to be strengthened and maintained.

The work of building the Party and the political system achieved many important results, and the great national unity bloc continued to expand, strengthen and promote synergy. Particularly for internal affairs, the province has deployed new documents on the corruption and negative phenomena prevention and control to all levels of Party committees and units; directed the inspection and examination of responsibilities for anti-corruption. The province has established and promulgated regulations on operational organization, assigning tasks and meeting the Provincial Steering Committee for corruption and negative phenomena prevention and control to give opinions on solving a number of cases according to its competence.
Preparing to welcome the New Year of the Rabbit 2023, the province has mobilized resources to implement regimes and policies for people with meritorious services, the poor, and support disadvantaged groups and workers. The province has spent 270 billion VND to support people with difficult circumstances. The Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have organized many programs to take care of the poor and needy, including workers, through the programs of Zero dong fair, charity Tet, Together We Make Tet, etc. Particularly, the Provincial Confederation of Labor has developed and implemented a plan to take care of 132,708 difficult workers, with a total value of 89.5 billion VND. At the same time, 31 round-trip air tickets, 5,000 round-trip train tickets and 2,700 bus tickets were offered to disadvantaged workers returning to their hometown to celebrate Tet. It is expected that this year, the number of disadvantaged workers staying in Binh Duong to celebrate Tet will be about 400,000 people, including 46,500 workers with extremely difficult circumstances in need of support.
The situation of goods supply and demand during the Tet holiday is stable, ensuring people's Tet shopping needs. In the province, there are also many entertainment activities, fireworks and cultural programs to serve people to enjoy Spring and celebrate Tet.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Phan Dinh Trac acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Party Committee, army and people of Binh Duong province for uniting to overcome difficulties to develop and achieving many encouraging results with most of the socio-economic indicators being met and exceeded. The province has very well implemented social security policies for beneficiaries, especially families under preferential treatment policy, people with meritorious services to the revolution and workers in the province.
Approving the development plan, key goals and tasks of Binh Duong province in 2023, Mr. Phan Dinh Trac suggested Binh Duong focus more, higher and more persistent on ensuring social security, take care and pay attention to the accommodation for workers. He also shared the great pressures of Binh Duong province in social security, and suggested strengthening the work of ensuring security and order, especially in industrial parks and workers' residences. The Police and Army branches are requested to make more efforts in ensuring security and order in all situations, continue to pay attention to the corruption and negative phenomena prevention and control in order to best serve the task of local socio-economic development.
