As a result, male athlete Hoang Nguyen Thanh excellently crossed the finish line and female athlete Pham Thi Binh also finished first at the 42km distance. At the 21km distance, male athlete Le Huu Loc finished first with a record of 1 hour 17 minutes 1 second, female athlete Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa had no opponent when she finished with a record of 1 hour 33 minutes 30 seconds. At the 10km distance, male athlete Truong Van Tam finished first with a record of 42 minutes 38 seconds and with a record of 50 minutes 8 seconds, female athlete Ban Thi Van finished first. At the 5km distance, male athlete Nguyen Anh Tri finished with a record of 15 minutes 43 seconds, female athlete Nguyen Thi Phuong Trinh finished first with a time gap of only a few seconds.
