Overview of the meeting
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Mai Hung Dung said, with the results achieved in the implementation of the Binh Duong Smart City Project for the 2015-2020 period, Binh Duong has shaped the province's development model for the province and become the leading province in the country in economic development. In particular, Binh Duong was honored by the Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) in the Top 7 Intelligent Communities worldwide twice in a row. To orient the development for the 2022 – 2026 period, along with the plans of the province, the PPC also needs suggestions from practical activities of departments, committees, branches and units in the province to have appropriate strategies.
Sharing about Binh Duong Smart City development strategy for the 2022 – 2026 period, Mr. Joost Helms said that Binh Duong's future socio-economic development strategy is implemented on the Triple Helix model, towards the Smart Region. Binh Duong's new "Navigator" framework will be built on three main factors: economic development, social progress and green growth.

To implement the Smart City development strategy for the 2022 - 2026 period, Binh Duong Smart City Office has also developed an action plan. Mr. Peter Porttheine shared, besides the projects of registered provincial departments, committees and branches, Binh Duong also needs to focus on developing projects on digital society, ensuring the readiness of smart industry. At the same time, focusing on sustainable development, supporting for "Startup" enterprises and building networks and international events.
Representatives of departments, committees, branches and school units in the province also commented on projects to be implemented in the 2022 – 2026 period.
