Binh Duong FPA is a professional social organization, established in 1999 with the function of participating and operating in the specialized fields of population, family planning, reproductive health, is a member of Binh Duong Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. After 22 years of construction with 04 congresses, the Provincial FPA has constantly strived, overcome difficulties and challenges to gradually develop in terms of organization, capacity and operational experience, contributing to the well implementation of the program and strategic objectives on population, family planning and reproductive health of the province during the past time.

Up to now, the province has 9/9 district, town and city Associations and 91/91 commune, ward and commune-level town Branch Associations have been consolidated and established with 3,851 members. During the last tenure, communication activities of the Association were organized in a variety of forms and contents to adolescents, young adults, workers in enterprises, people in remote communes and disadvantaged areas. The number of people receiving communication increased by 30.60% compared to the previous tenure. Thereby contributing to raising the awareness and level of reproductive health care for the people, the maternal and child mortality rate decreased sharply; the average life expectancy of Binh Duong people in the 2016-2020 period increased to 75.99 years old.
Club models "Adolescents, young adults with reproductive health, sexual health"; "Workers with reproductive health in enterprises", Integrated Communication Team providing mobile reproductive health care services is quite effective.
Propaganda activities aim at people in remote and disadvantaged communes
The Association has provided free contraceptive methods through the provision of condoms and birth control pills to workers, adolescents and young adults during mobile communication trips (62,867 condoms; 5,858 packs of oral contraceptives). Since then, it has greatly contributed to reducing the rate of sexually transmitted diseases including HIV/AIDS, reducing unwanted pregnancy, helping the subjects have more choices in the implementation of contraceptive methods, increasing the rate of couples using contraception throughout the province to over 70%, contributing to maintaining a reasonable fertility rate.
In the 2022-2027 tenure, the Association continues to consolidate the organization of district, town and city Association network in the direction of practical and effective activities; promote communication and education activities, focus on closely following the plan of activities of the new media model, towards gender equality, adolescents and young adults in secondary schools and high schools, disadvantaged and vulnerable people with the goal of increasing 40% the number of people communicated; increasing the number of people accessing and providing reproductive health and family planning services by 20% compared to the previous tenure, etc.
The Executive Committee of the Provincial FPA for the 2022-2027 tenure is introduced
In order to realize the goals of the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Danh suggested that the Provincial Provincial FPA deeply grasp and strictly implement the guidelines of the Party, policies and laws of the State on population, FPA; consolidate and perfect the organization of the Association and improve the capacity of the team of specialized commune-level officials. The Association also needs to study a variety of content and forms, focusing on communication skills to propagate and disseminate appropriate to each target group. Synchronously deploying professional solutions, improving technical skills, expanding linkages with state and private clinics and medical facilities to provide reproductive health and FPA services, etc.
The Congress elected the 5th Executive Committee of Binh Duong Provincial FPA, 2022-2027 tenure with 21 members. Ms. Vu Thi Kim Tinh continues to hold the position of President of the Association.
On this occasion, the Provincial FPA was honored to receive the Second-class Labor Medal for outstanding achievements in its work from 2015-2019; 01 individual received the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of merit to 05 collectives and 12 individuals.
