Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Hiep - Chairman of the Council of Thu Dau Mot University said that the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy is responsible for training quality human resources, conducting scientific research, providing scientific products, transferring science and technology, and implementing services in the field of medicine and health. The goal is to provide students with quality training and the opportunity to participate in research, experience to accumulate knowledge and be ready to enter higher programs in the medical field.
In the first stage of establishment (2022-2023), the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy will deploy 3 training majors: Biomedical Engineering, Public Health, Medical Laboratory and aim to build the potential for opening training programs for general practitioners and pharmacists in the future. The university will also promote the establishment of a Center for Medical Diagnosis of hematology, blood biochemistry, urology, cancer screening and reproductive health; building a practical pharmacy, etc.

The birth of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy marked an important milestone in Thu Dau Mot University's strategy to perfect the multi-disciplinary and multi-field university model and meet the urgent needs of people's health care.
The Biomedical Research Ethics Committee launches
At the ceremony, the Biomedical Research Ethics Committee was launched with 11 members who are scientists, managers, physicians, doctors with reputation and experience in the field of medicine, training and research. The Committee will perform the task of evaluating and criticizing topics, projects on biomedical research and clinical deployment in Binh Duong province.
In order for the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy to come into operation effectively, Thu Dau Mot University signed a MOU on strategic cooperation with Pham Ngoc Thach Medical University and Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy. Accordingly, the universities will support to build a team of qualified lecturers in the medical field; participate in consulting on the construction and development of training programs for health majors of Thu Dau Mot University; introduce experts, experienced lecturers participating in teaching and sharing practical experiences for Thu Dau Mot University. At the same time, coordinating in organizing short-term and long-term training programs, fostering professional skills in the field of medicine, especially continuous medical training for medical facilities in Binh Duong; exchanging of lecturers and students, sharing and introducing partners, places to visit, practice and do internships in the health majors in order to coordinate to improve training quality; coordinating in deploying a network of grassroots health care and family doctors in Binh Duong province and organizing cultural, sports and volunteering activities for the community.
