Specifically, for Covid-19 cases (F0), following the guidance in Official Dispatch no. 355/SYT-NVY dated February 14, 2022 of the Department of Health guiding the management of people with Covid-19 (F0) at the their place of residence. The implementation of measures for Covid-19 prevention and control needs to ensure the synchronization of medical, administrative and socio-economic measures, which are strictly and drastically implemented from each individual, family to agencies, organizations, enterprises, schools and localities.
For cases of close contact of confirmed Covid-19 cases (F1), health declaration must be made immediately to the local Medical Station or Mobile Medical Station or production and business establishments.
Persons who have received at least 02 doses of Covid-19 vaccine (recorded on the certificate of Covid-19 vaccination, electronic health book or PC-Covid app software) as prescribed, the last dose injected for at least 14 days or recovered from Covid-19 within 03 months by the time of determination as F1 (with hospital discharge certificate or certificate of recovery from Covid-19): Self-quarantine, monitor health at their place of residence within 5 days from the last exposure date, strictly follow 5K recommendations, conduct daily health declaration via PC-Covid app.
Persons who have not been vaccinated or have not received enough doses of Covid-19 vaccine (01 dose or 02 doses but the last dose is less than 14 days): Self-quarantine, monitor health at their place of residence within 07 days from the last exposure date, strictly follow 5K recommendations, conduct daily health declaration via PC-Covid app.
After the subjects have had enough quarantine time, testing (by RT-PCR method or rapid antigen test, preferably by RT-PCR method) to end quarantine. If the test result is negative, continuing to self-monitor for 10 days from the date of last exposure. If positive, handling according to the guidance in Official Dispatch no. 355/SYT-NVY dated February 14, 2022.
A test (Rapid Antigen Test) must be performed when symptoms suspected of having Covid-19 appear (fever; cough; sore throat; runny nose, stuffy nose; body aches, fatigue, chills; decreased or lost taste; decreased or lost sense of smell; headache; diarrhea; shortness of breath; respiratory inflammation) during the quarantine period.
Close contact (F1) is
one of the following cases:
- Person who has
direct physical contact (shaking hands, hugging, kissing, direct contact with
skin, body, etc.) with F0 during the transmission period of F0.
- Person with a mask
has contact, communication within 2 meters or in the same narrow, closed space
and for at least 15 minutes with the confirmed case (F0) during the
transmission period of F0.
- Person without a
mask has close contact, communication within 2 meters or in the same narrow,
closed space with F0 during the transmission period of F0.
- Person who directly
cares for, examines, and treats a confirmed case (F0) during the transmission
period of F0 without adequate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
The transmission
period of a confirmed case (F0) is calculated from 2 days before the onset (for
a confirmed case without symptoms, the transmission period is counted from 2
days before the date the sample is taken with a positive test result) until the
test result is negative or the CT value is >30.
