Responding to proposals and suggestions of localities on giving the 3rd dose for subjects aged 12-17 and requesting the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control to have specific instructions on vaccination for 6th grade students under 12 years old; the Department of Health said that currently the Ministry of Health has no regulations on the 3rd dose for children aged 12 to 17 years old. The Government has also agreed to buy 21.9 million doses of Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to under 12 years old; therefore, it is suggested that localities wait, when there is a policy, the province will deploy injections for 6th grade students under 12 years old.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha assessed that the pandemic situation in the province continues to be effectively controlled. However, localities must be very focused, not subjective or neglected; strictly implement the directives of the Government, the Ministry of Health and the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control; soon complete 100% of the 3rd dose in the first quarter of 2022. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked localities to quickly rearrange treatment facilities to suit the actual situation to avoid wasting human resources. Closely monitoring the face-to-face learning situation for all levels so that when problems arise, they can be promptly handled. Although the Omicron variant has not had complicated developments, localities must proactively plan and respond to situations, etc.
