The report at the conference showed that, in 2021, the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in the province has had a profound and comprehensive impact on all fields. As soon as the pandemic broke out, the Provincial Industrial Zones Authority implemented measures to prevent and control the pandemic in association with continuing to improve the investment environment, enhance competitiveness and strengthen support for the development of enterprises. Promptly solving difficulties and obstacles, creating favorable conditions for investors and enterprises to step up production, business and investment cooperation activities, without disrupting the production chain. The province has timely policies to gradually support enterprises and workers to overcome the difficulties of the pandemic, the production and business activities of IP enterprises were maintained; IP continued to promote advantages and achieve positive results. Domestic investment attraction reached 3,104 billion VND, exceeding 121.76% of the plan; foreign investment attraction reached 1.9 billion USD, up 53% compared to 2020, reaching 159% of the plan.

Regarding the production and business activities of enterprises in the IP, in 2021, the revenue achieved 35,144 billion USD, up 3.55% over the same period, reaching 100.4% of the year plan; export turnover reached 20,867 billion USD, up 2.55% over the same period, reaching 83.4% of the year plan; import turnover reached 18.644 billion USD, up 6.26% over the same period and reaching 93.22% of the year plan. Regarding the situation of using domestic workers, through a survey of enterprises, the labor demand in the first quarter of 2022 is 20,000 people. The average income of a direct production worker is about 7 million VND/month, equal to the same period in 2021.
In 2022, provincial IP strive to achieve a number of targets such as attracting foreign investment capital to reach 1.2-1.3 billion USD; attracting domestic investment capital to reach 1,100-1,200 billion VND; attracting 100-120 projects to put into operation; total revenue to reach 33-35 billion USD, etc. To achieve the above goal, IP should step up the implementation of the investment promotion program in 2022, renew investment promotion methods, and focus on supporting industries, clean technology, and high technology. Coordinating with the Investors, departments and branches to take care and support to improve the spiritual life of workers, etc.

Discussing at the conference, representatives of investors as well as enterprises highly appreciated the results achieved in socio-economic development, especially pandemic prevention and control in the province; the companionship of the provincial government for production and business activities of enterprises during the pandemic outbreak and complicated developments. At the same time, it is recommended that the Provincial People's Committee continue to create favorable conditions for enterprises to restore production, have policies and solutions to attract human resources; give vaccination for workers; create conditions for foreign experts and workers to enter Viet Nam to work, etc.
Speaking to direct at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh acknowledged the IP achievements in 2021, especially enterprises in IP, which have made efforts to both prevent and control the pandemic and maintain production activities.
