Attending the meeting were leaders of departments, committees and branches. Reporting at the meeting, the DPI leader said that the provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, has been implemented for more than 1 year. Currently, the province is looking for a planning consultancy unit with quality, capacity and long-term vision to help the province orientate for faster and more sustainable development. During the planning process, Binh Duong encountered some difficulties in selecting consulting experts and contractors to implement the package, etc.
Commenting on the next steps of implementation, the delegates said that the Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, plays a very important role in the development of Binh Duong. This is considered the commitment of the provincial government to investors, contributing to attracting investment in the coming time of the province. In addition, the Planning needs to identify the role of Binh Duong in the development of the Southern Key Economic Region. Therefore, the province needs to mobilize consultations from foreign experts and leading experts in the country to determine the goals and implementation solutions in line with the reality of Binh Duong. The orientation and development space of Binh Duong must be commensurate with the development in the Southern Key Economic Region. The quality of the planning must come from the quality of the component planning, therefore, the planning of each branch and locality has a very important role. According to the delegates, each branch and locality must well perform the survey and assessment of the current status of the planning so that the consultancy unit has a basis for building quality general planning of the province.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh suggested that the Department of Planning and Investment soon advise the Provincial People's Committee to establish a planning evaluation council; organize a Workshop of consulting experts on construction planning. At the same time, he noted that the planning should be built on the basis of inheriting the component planning so as not to disrupt the development of the province; determine the province's position in the Southern Key Economic Region to increase the service value of the province.
