On this occasion, 28 agricultural products were awarded OCOP Certificates, of which 20 products achieved 3 stars and 08 products achieved 4 stars. The "One Commune One Product" program, also known as the OCOP Program, is a program to promote rural economic development, improve income and living standards of rural people, through optimal exploitation of local resources to develop specialty products. With the advantage of having a lot of famous traditional craft villages such as pottery, lacquer, wicker, carving, etc., in the 2021-2025 period, Binh Duong sets a target that 100% of communes in the province have products participating in the OCOP program; at least 150 subjects register to participate in the program; at least 80 products with 3 stars or more are certified for provincial-level OCOP products, at least 3 products with 5 stars are certified for national OCOP products.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Hung Dung asked the Department of Industry and Trade to continue to closely coordinate with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, Trade associations, enterprises, farm owners, cooperatives to regularly organize trade connection activities, boost trade promotion, especially trade connection activities in the form of online and e-commerce in order to create maximum convenience to bring agricultural products, goods - services, OCOP products of the province to consumers in domestic and international markets. Thereby joining hands to build and develop "Binh Duong brand" to become a reliable and attractive destination for enterprises, investors, domestic and foreign suppliers in the fields of production, business, development cooperation, helping Binh Duong to truly become an innovative region, a smart city, with outstanding development in the near future.
