Director of the Department of Construction Vo Hoang Ngan said that in the 2011-2015 period, there were 23 social housing projects completed and put into use, with a total floor area of 431,488 m2, the number of apartments was 9,618, meeting the needs of 37,500 people. In particular, attention will be paid to the development of worker accommodation in industrial parks and clusters in order to proactively organize production when a pandemic occurs.

At the same time, urging investors to build social housing, be arranged land fund in detailed planning projects approved by competent authorities, and have invested in building technical infrastructure systems for the construction of social housing. Director of the Department of Construction said that in the coming time, he will direct to strengthen transparent information about SH projects, as well as selling prices for those who need access to information, specify and publicly announce the criteria, subjects and conditions for purchase, lease, and lease-purchase of SH in the area in accordance with the conditions of each locality; organize the management and close monitoring of the sale, lease, lease-purchase; promulgate price brackets for sale, lease, lease-purchase of SH within the locality according to its competence.

At the same time, implementing mechanisms and policies on SH  development and management of the central government; promulgating specific regulations on local incentive and preferential mechanisms to call for economic sectors to participate in investment in SH development in the locality; regulations on management of the use, exploitation and operation of SH funds in the locality.

Organizing the inspection, examination, supervision and handling of violations related to the sale, lease, and purchase of SH, examining the responsibility of the investor, the Management Board of the apartment building, etc. Through information reflected by people, media agencies will check and handle cases of violating regulations on the sale and lease of SH. Requesting investors of SH construction projects in their locality to report on the status of project implementation to the local housing state management agency periodically; organizing briefings, preliminary review and assessment of the situation and implementation results of SH development in the locality on an annual basis or at unexpected requests.
