Talking with the Delegation, Mr. Do Van Phung - Director of the Provincial Young Worker and Labor Support Center said that over the past time, the Center has actively participated in Covid-19 prevention and control activities of the province. Currently, the Center has more than 300 volunteers, mainly young workers, of which 187 volunteers participate in the frontline taking samples for testing and more than 150 volunteers join the fleet (transporting necessities, assisting people who have completed quarantine to return home and providing emergency assistance to hospitals every day) and logistics. Remote volunteers are supported by the Center with adequate and safe accommodation and meals for their convenience in the process of participating in pandemic prevention and control. In addition, the Center regularly connects with enterprises and organizations to timely mobilize and donate necessities to people in difficult circumstances. Especially, the Center's model "Bus of love - Carrying thousands of gift baskets to support young workers to overcome the pandemic" has supported more than 10,000 young workers with a total amount of nearly 5 billion VND. With 30 Connection Clubs and Workers' Youth Association branches as the core force established in enterprises, the Center always monitors, grasps the situation and provides support and timely support to units with medical masks, vegetables, tubers and fruits to serve workers participating in the production process of enterprises.
