Accordingly, Binh Duong Department of Information and Communications (hereinafter referred to as Department) is a specialized agency under the Provincial People's Committee, with its own legal status, seal and account; under the direction and management of the organization, payroll and work of the Provincial People's Committee and the direction, inspection and professional guidance of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
The Department has the function of advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management of the press; publish; post; telecommunication; radio frequency; information technology; electronics; radio and television; foreign information; news bulletins; background information; information and communication infrastructure; advertising in the press, in the network environment, on publications and integrated advertising on postal, telecommunications and information technology products and services.
The Department has the tasks and powers to submit to the Provincial People's Committee a draft decision of the Provincial People's Committee related to the sectors and fields under the Department's management; submit to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee draft documents under the promulgation competence of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee as assigned. Guiding, inspecting and organizing the implementation of legal documents, planning and plans for development, programs, schemes, projects, technical regulations, national standards, and economic-technical norms on information and communication approved; performing the work of information, propaganda, dissemination and education of the law in the fields under the management of the Department, etc.
Regarding the organizational structure, the Department has a Director and no more than 03 Deputy Directors.
