Accelerating testing combined with vaccination
Informing about the pandemic situation in the province, Dr. Nguyen Hong Chuong - Director of the Department of Health said that since the 4th pandemic wave, Binh Duong has recorded 114,788 cases of Covid-19 in 9/9 localities in the province. With the motto "separate as quickly as possible" F0 from the community, the province has focused on implementing large-scale testing and screening by rapid test and PCR throughout the province. In phase 1 (from July 17, 2021), samples were taken for 1,292,846 people, detected 12,667 people suspected of having Covid-19 (rate of 0.98%) and in phase 2, phase 3 (from date August 02, 2021, samples were taken for rapid test and PCR for 2,615,597 people, with 65,504 positive cases.
According to Mr. Chuong, the number of F0 has highly increased in recent weeks because the province is carrying out testing and screening for 11 wards dense with F0 of Thuan An city and Tan Uyen town. The rate of F0 in these wards accounts for 3-6% of the ward's population. However, the increase of F0 in these wards is not worrisome because the province is implementing lockdown, freeze and testing many times to screen all F0. According to statistics, in recent days, the number of F0 in these wards has gradually decreased, which is a good sign. The province strives to basically control the pandemic by September 15, bringing people's lives back to the new normal.

Regarding vaccination, the province's policy is that vaccines and treatment medicine are the strategy. Organizing free, safe, timely and effective vaccinations, regardless of vaccines; not organizing fee-for-service vaccinations. Organizing appropriate forms of vaccination in quarantine and lockdown areas with flexible time, ensuring the timeliness, safety and effectiveness according to the guidance of the Ministry of Health and ensuring the regulations on safety of pandemic prevention and control. Based on the vaccine allocation of the Ministry of Health, Binh Duong province quickly developed a plan and implemented vaccination with the capacity of over 100,000 doses/day. As of August 31, 2021, Binh Duong has injected 976,473 doses of vaccine (of which 933,223 people received the 1st dose and 43,250 people received the 2nd dose).
Mr. Nguyen Hong Chuong said that in the coming time, the province will receive 1 million doses of Sinopharm's Vero Cell vaccine to inject people. "Sinopharm's Vero Cell vaccine has been used by hundreds of countries, including China and Singapore. In fact, currently in China and Singapore, most people are immune and almost life is back to normal" - Mr. Chuong cited. According to Mr. Chuong, the feature of Sinopharm's Vero Cell vaccine is that, in addition to its effective prevention of the pandemic, the vaccination process does not cause complications, and the recipients are very satisfied. "Binh Duong is injecting more than 20,000 doses of Vero Cell vaccine to Chinese experts at enterprises and so far, all are safe. In the long run, vaccination is the best measure to prevent the pandemic for people. Statistics show that people who are vaccinated when becoming F0 do not change severely and the risk of death is almost no," said Chuong.

Responding to the collection and treatment of F0
Informing about the capacity of collection and treatment for initial F0 cases, Mr. Nguyen Hong Chuong said, the province is currently responding to collect about 50,000 patients. The province is studying to increase the capacity of collection with 20,000 more patients to cope with the case situation in the province to 150,000 cases. Mr. Chuong also explained that, initially, localities were still confused in collecting F0 cases when the results of large-scale testing in boarding houses crowded with workers had a high rate of F0, it led to the situation that F0 cases were not promptly taken to quarantine for treatment. However, with the support of enterprises in the province, many workshops of enterprises have been requisitioned as collection and treatment areas for F0 cases. Therefore, at present, the situation of collecting F0 in the province is basically stable, right after implementing rapid test and finding positive, the Health branch has moved these cases to the collection and treatment area to avoid spreading the infection to the community.

Sharing information about solutions the province will deploy in the coming time, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Thao - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that the province has set a goal of striving until September 15, 2021 to basically control the pandemic in the red zones to bring people's lives back to the new normal. This is the effort and determination of the entire political system. The province has also developed a plan to forecast the number of cases that could reach 150,000 people in detail, specifically, with the assignment of each agency, unit, and locality, the participation of the entire political system with main and key solutions.
Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that the province's policy is to carry out large-scale testing to separate F0 from the community in red zones, especially boarding houses with crowded workers instead of dispersing people due to the plan of dispersing people is very much related to people's lives. The province will be drastic and expeditious in spending support packages for the subjects according to regulations, up to now, the province has spent 1,390 billion VND on social security, and at the same time put into operation more than 40 food and foodstuff supply establishments in the province, especially in the red zones so that people can access essential food and foodstuff sources, so that people do not go hungry.
