As reported by the Department of Health, as of August 29, 2021, Binh Duong has recorded 104,208 cases of Covid-19, 819 patients died. It is forecast that in the coming time, there may be up to 150,000 cases. In order to effectively prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic, vaccination against Covid-19 is one of the important measures.
Although Binh Duong has actively implemented Covid-19 vaccination for the entire population, but due to the scarcity of vaccine resources, so far the province has only injected about 906,655 doses, of which, 867,125 1st doses 1 and 39,530 2nd doses (as reported on Software System), which is still very low to achieve community immunity. Facing the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, all Binh Duong people aged 18 and over should be vaccinated soon to create community immunity, contributing to quickly repelling the pandemic.
It is known that the Vero Cell vaccine has been approved by the World Health Organization, and has now been put into vaccination in many countries around the world. In Vietnam, the imported batch of vaccines has been quality checked by the National Institute for Control of Vaccines and Biologicals (under the Ministry of Health) and confirmed to be eligible for use. Some provinces have widely injected Sinopharm's Vero Cell vaccine to people such as Hai Phong, Dong Nai (about 3,000 doses have been injected) and Ho Chi Minh City (more than 900,000 doses have been injected). In Binh Duong, 17,000 doses of Vero Cell vaccine are also being administered to foreign experts and so far are safe.
Up to now, Vietnam has 6 types of Covid-19 vaccines that have been licensed for use by the Ministry of Health, including Sinopharm's Vero Cell vaccine.
All ingredients in the above Covid-19 vaccine have been carefully studied and evaluated for safety for humans. According to the regulations of the World Health Organization, vaccines before being put into emergency use are required to undergo clinical trials on humans with 3 phases, on the principle of ensuring 3 factors: Safety, immunogenicity and protective efficacy. Even after being approved, the above vaccines must continuously supplement and update information and data related to the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine during use.
Although the effectiveness of the vaccine is not 100%, according to experts, this is still an effective weapon to help prevent and progress to create immunity for the community to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, everyone should get vaccinated as soon as it's their turn and the best vaccine is the one that is given at the earliest.
Getting vaccinated against Covid-19 is a right for yourself and a responsibility for the community.
