Preparing scenarios for 150,000 cases of F0

Reporting to the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Minh said that up to now, Binh Duong has had 86,050 infections in the community in 9/9 districts, towns and cities, more than 48,000 recovered patients and 716 deaths.

Facing the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the province has implemented many synchronous solutions under the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister with the motto of taking communes, wards and towns as "fortresses", and the people as "soldiers", as the service center and as the subject of pandemic prevention and control.

The entire province has implemented strict social distancing according to Directive 16 from July 19, 2021, stopping activities in the time frame from 18:00 the previous day to 06:00 the next day. The province is implementing lockdown and freeze in 11 "red zone" wards of Thuan An city and Tan Uyen town where the F0 rate is very high within 15 days, from August 22, 2021 and in 04 wards of Di An city within 07 days, from August 23, 2021.

The province's guiding point of view is to quickly separate F0 from the community in order to control infection, limit the rapid increase in the number of F0 cases, and reduce the number of deaths; places that have been tested and screened must lock down and control people in and out. Binh Duong applies treatment according to the 3-tier model under the guidance of the Ministry of Health to reduce the load on provincial treatment facilities, which has been effective.

The implementation of social security policies is urgently performed in the spirit of not letting any people go hungry. As of August 26, 2021, the province has supported 234,526 cases according to Resolution no. 68/ND-CP with the amount of 357.1 billion VND, supporting the boarding house rent (300,000 VND/worker) for 959,708 cases with the amount of 287.9 billion VND, supported food in cash or gifts worth 500,000 VND/person for workers having difficult circumstances and living at boarding houses with the amount of 482 billion VND. Cumulatively, support has been spent for 2,158,347 cases with the amount of 1,127 billion VND.

It is forecasted that in the coming time, the number of cases may reach 150,000 cases, Binh Duong continues to give high priority to mobilizing all resources for Covid-19 prevention and control. The province proposed to the Government and the Ministry of Health to continue to allocate more vaccines to inject enough for people in "red zone" areas in the province and to support medicine for Covid-19 patient treatment. At the same time, providing additional support for the province's medical personnel, especially the force for 100 Mobile medical stations (each station with 01 doctor, 02 nurses) to rescue people outside hospitals, etc.

Through actual inspection in localities of Binh Duong, Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long assessed that 11 "red zone" wards, including 07 wards of Tan Uyen town and 04 wards of Thuan An city, have a large population. The problem is how to reduce the concentrated population density; ensure food and foodstuffs so that people do not go out of their houses. He assessed, Binh Duong is implementing the correct method of testing 1,3,5. When the rapid test results are positive, people are immediately quarantined for treatment. F0 cases may increase during this period, but when the province separates F0, the number of cases will decrease. Binh Duong needs to guide people to self-test to reduce the load on the sampling force. All temporary quarantine facilities must convert their functions into Mobile medical stations, increase oxygen supply and equipment to treat patients right from the tier 1, reduce pressure on the tier 2 and tier 3.

Regarding vaccines, the Minister said that Binh Duong would give maximum priority to vaccinating people aged 18 and over in "red zone" wards. At the same time, continuing to supplement medical personnel for Binh Duong. At that time, the province must coordinate appropriate personnel and strengthen the "red zone" localities.

The Prime Minister said that Binh Duong's determination that by September 15, the entire province will return to the new normal, has a scientific basis, practicality and determination of the entire provincial political system.
