In the past 24 hours, Binh Duong recorded 4,187 new cases of Covid-19, down 14% compared to August 26, 2021. In which, the number of cases is concentrated in the blockade area with 2,685 cases (accounting for 64.1%), through community screening tests 1,243 cases (accounting for 29.7%); 114 cases through PCR confirmation at temporary isolation areas (accounting for 2.7%) and 145 cases at medical facilities (accounting for 3.5%). The number of cases is high in recent days because the province is implementing the second and third phase of large-scale testing.
According to the area of residence, Thuan An city 1,778 cases (down 7.0%), Tan Uyen town 1,309 cases (down 4.0%), Di An city 526 cases (down 46.3%), Ben Cat town 232 cases (down 50.2%), Thu Dau Mot city 218 cases (up 124.7%), Bac Tan Uyen district 68 cases (up 54.5%), Phu Giao district 32 cases, Bau Bang district 10 cases (increased 900.0%), Dau Tieng district 2 cases (down 33.2%) and outside the province 12 cases (increased 300.0%).
The Department of Health also added 4,508 cases from July 22, 2021 to August 23, 2021, including: Thuan An (4,056), Di An (154), Tan Uyen (107), Ben Cat (50), Dau Tieng (40), Thu Dau Mot (37), Phu Giao (06), Bau Bang (06), Bac Tan Uyen (04) and outside the province (48).
