Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Hung Dung said: "In the first 6 months of the year, the province's economy grew well, particularly in July and August, the pandemic situation was complicated, thus greatly affecting economic development. However, in the difficulties, many enterprises still make efforts to maintain production while ensuring measures for pandemic prevention and control. In the remaining months of 2021, if the province can control the pandemic soon, the socio-economic targets set out in 2021 will still be basically achieved.

According to the report, the Provincial People's Committee has approved to extend the implementation time and disbursement of the 2020 investment plan to 2021 with a total capital of 1,250 billion VND for 28 projects. As a result, the 2020 plan extended to 2021, the total disbursement value until August 15, 2021 is 335 billion 608 million VND, reaching 26.8% of the plan; estimated disbursed value as of December 31, 2021 is 426 billion 799 million VND, reaching 34.1% of the plan.
For the plan assigned in 2021, the total disbursement value until August 15, 2021 is 2,656 billion 831 million VND, reaching 21.5% of the plan; estimated disbursement value as of December 31, 2021 is 9,680 billion 362 million VND, reaching 78.3% of the plan. It is expected to start construction of a number of key projects such as: Administrative Center of Bac Tan Uyen District, Le Chi Dan Street (Thu Dau Mot City), bridge over the Dong Nai River (Bach Dang 2 Bridge), etc.
